2009 Dog Show Results
Miniature Bull Terrier CH Camino's Lucy Lou, "Lucy" finished the year as the #1 Mini Bull with 2,190 all-breed points and #3 in breed points. Lucy became only the second Mini Bull ever to receive over 50 group placements. As Lucy retires at Westminister we move on to her little half brother "BlackJack" CH Nederes' Little Game O'BlackJack. We look forward to another great year in the Mini Bull World.
German Pinscher CH Oakwood V Kaitlers Revival, "Lukas" also had an amazing year as he broke every German Pinscher record including most dogs defeated in breed and all-breed as well as most group placements. Lukas earned BOB at both Eukanuba Invitational and Westminster Kennel Club to end the 2009 show eyar. Lukas ended 2009 #1 with 1,812 all-breed points - almost double the points of the #2 dog. In breed points he finished with 286 points. Lukas is still a very young dog and we look forward to breaking his own records this year!
Part-time show dogs:
ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, CH Blondheim's That Was Easy, "Tia" finished #14 in all-breed points and #11 in breed points. We only showed Tia a couple of times but look forward to more next year.
Spinoni Italiano "Mariah" CH Spinfandel Mariah's Storm JH finished #14 in all-breed points and #7 in breed points. We look forward to Mariah coming back from Maternity leave.
Scottish Deerhound "Spirit" CH Jaraluv Spirit of Value Vue was also shown on a very limited basis in the Summer as he refuses to walk on "slick" indoor floors. He still finished as the #7 Scottish Deerhound in all-breed points. We will see Spirit when we show outdoors.
Black Russian Terrier "Mischka" CH Cereberus Hel If I Know, was showing part-time in '09 and now is retiring from the ring to start a new career as a therapy dog! He finishes his show dog career as the #13 Black Russian Terrier in breed points, #20 in all-breed points and #1 in Canada. As he starts his new career we wait for "little" brother Razz to grow up.
Also just starting out was St Bernard "Rupert" CH Stoan's Rupert of Oz RA. Rupert was shown just a few times at the end of the year and finished #11 in all-breed points. You'll see him more in 2010.
Mastiff "Micah" CH Rainy Days Micah Six:Eight RN CGC, was shown on a very limited basis in 2009. He spent most of the year in the top twenty Mastiffs. We expect him to shine again in 2010.
Havanese "Frank'e" CH Joyfulnoise Come Fly With Me, was shown for just a few months in 2009 and came away with many great wins including the Toy Group First Place in Boise and ranked #16 in all-breed points. We are excited about what Frank'e will do in 2010.
Also shown for only part of the year was Boston Terrier "Jessie" CH Kennedy's Rhinestone Cowboy at Mtnview. Jessie started mid-year and won the Canby Specialty enroute to being the #14 Boston in breed points and #20 in all-breed points.
Boston Terrier, "Millie" CH Waylin’s Million Dollar Baby, who was shown sporadically in 2009 was #17 in breed points and #1 in Canada. Millie also won Best of Breed at the Western Washington Specialty and a Best of Show in Canada in 2009.
We started the year showing Silky Terrier, "Tum" AM CAN EST GIB LITH FIN CH Bombix Moren Jaspis, who was in the top twenty when he stopped showing in April. He did go on to be the #1 Silky in Canada. We showed "Pepper" CH Tawny Mist Magical Mysterytour who finished the year as the #15 Silky in all-breed points and #18 in breed points.
We want to give a special congrats to two of Tum's kids: CH Bar-B's Tawnymist Topias "Topi" shown by Ed Thomason who was #1 in breed and #2 in all-breed; and "Delilah" CH Wyncliff's Tawny Mist Tumtrees bred and shown by Dinah Baggenstos who was the #4 breed and #8 all-breed Silky Terrier in 2009.
Thank you to everyone who trusted us with their "children" in 2009 and on into 2010. We look forward to our best year yet.
